Many in the market today do not have an ideal way to network or connect with event information in the industry. The Alleyevent idea was to create a "Glocal" (global and local) web presence - an online networked communitiy for the New York tri-state area. The web site needed a way to deliver information in a timely manner for event producers and also connect or engage industry speakers for each event. |
| The Solution |
| Alleyevent created a site based on Lotus Domino to create a calendar of new media and related business events. The site provides a way to organize "unstructured" data such as events, people, and other networking information. For administrative purposes, the site provides a workflow process to approve and publish event data. Speakers can register with the site to publish information and availability to a large network of producers. Today, Alleyevent has over 10,000 subscribers related to the new media and technology market. |
