Overview

Ixion's xForms technology is a browser-based solution for extending unstructured, forms based data in a portal environment. Using IBM WebSphere Application Server as its foundation, this portlet application provides you with a forms based solution for sending and receiving operational forms. This technology combines the portal environment with a forms based portlet service that creates a simple yet powerful collaborative system.
Key Product Benefits

- Self-Contained Architecture. xForms for Portal and Workplace is based on a the IBM WebSphere Application server. It can be deployed as a single server that delivers the portal environment to the desktop browser and operates with an LDAP such as Microsoft Active Directory.

- Content Aggregation. One key component is the power of aggregating and personalizing content in a common business space. Included with the ability to process forms, seeing the information directly needed to complete a process is a key to xForm's success.

- Multiple Forms Based Modules. The workflow and security components of xForms is based on Lotus Domino and comes ready to deploy with an offline services forms based module. Each form can be fully customized and uploaded directly to the xForms portlet for gathering document based data and combining an associated workflow process.

- Enterprise Data Integration. Through JDBC technology and other configurable APIs, xForms can transform your document based process and deliver data directly to your enterprise RDBMS system. The portal provides an opportunity to deliver self-service based forms to your customers, employees and partners.
